Valves, Aircraft, Hydraulic Thermal Expansion Relief

The specification establishes the requirements folr hydraulic thermal expansion relief valves of the types and classes specified herein. The thermal relief valves covered by this specificatin are intended for use in aircraft hydraulic systems as covered by Specification MIL-H-5440 to provide for relief of excessive pressure resulting from volumetric changes, and should not be used with any hydraulic fluid other than that conforming to Specification MIL-O-5606 unless otherwise specified by the Procuring Service.
