This specification covers molded cups, 2 inches in diameter and under, compounded from high temperature resistant rubber for use in hydraulic actuating cylinders employing hydraulic-brake fluid of nonmineral-oil type. Hydraulic brake cylinder cups covered by this specification are intended for use in wheel cylinders, master cylinders, and slave cylinders in hydraulic-brake systems of trucks and other heavy-duty automotive equipment where the cylinder cups are subjected to temperatures ranging from +248° to -67°F (+120° to -55°C).
